After being selected to participate in the Christian Artist Talent Search (CATS) in Charlotte, NC, the Harrigill Family was chosen as one of the top 64 singers/musicians in the Nation to compete. After four rounds of competition, the family made a surprising finish in 2nd place. No one expected a Bluegrass group to finish in the top two, but the Lord put favor in the judges eyes to score the Harrigill Family well. This family's talent can only come from the Lord Jesus Christ. Their goal is to reach as many people for Jesus as they can. Penny says, "Everyone needs to know that God loves them, and we love sharing God's word through music and song."
Glen has been preaching for 25 years and and is currently the pastor of Riverside Baptist Church in Vidalia Louisiana. He plays guitar for the group as well as handling the emcee job. He has recently undergone hand surgery, but is recovering and is ready to get back on the road. Glen tells everyone that his family is great because, even if the hand surgery had not been successful, they were still going to let him stay in the group and pump gas (and pay) with his left hand. He jokingly says that this is the main reason that he gets to stay in the group. You can E-mail Glen at glen@HarrigillFamily.com
